Well, sorry I haven’t been posting loads on my blog, but I am still posting lots, just at www.miningindustrialphotographer.com .  These next few months I am busy with Mining Industrial shoots but I will be back into full swing here come June as we are already booking out our summer family portraits.

Surfing In April?

April 25th, 2012

Yup, that’s exactly what I did. I just got back from Costa Rica where I spent the last 7 days on the beaches of Tamarindo.  My days consisted of relaxing, reading and surfing.  What?   No Fishing?  Alas, I did take a break from that only to fuel my excitement to come home to colder weather.  I didn’t bring my big camera along, but opted for my little Lumix GF2 point and shoot camera.  I love this little sucker and it takes great images while still giving my full control of the settings.  Here are few of my point and shoot images below.

Also, I have been posting more images on my www.miningindustrialphotographer.com site as I have been doing more work of that nature this past few months, so check it out (you can subscribe to that blog feed as well).

Hosting, Hanging & Honing

April 14th, 2012

Here we are in Toronto hosting our Annual NoBs PhotoSuccess ™ Inferno Workshop to members from all over the world coming as far as Australia.  I LOVE hosting and speaking at these events, but I get more joy from hanging with fellow photographers and friends that I haven’t seen since the last event.  I call it “Photography Summer Camp With Booze” LOL.  I always learn so much about photography and business attending functions like this and it get’s me excited to get back home and implement them into my business.

Here is our groupshot below that we took yesterday using available light.

Candid Kids

April 10th, 2012

When I am photographing the parents during a family session I always have the corner of my eye on the kids to see what they are up to.  Sometimes you get those great candid shots that Mom & Dad LOVE!

Sudbury Summer Family Portraits

April 9th, 2012

Summer is just around the corner and we are gearing up for our outdoor Family Portrait Sessions.  Past and future clients are already starting to book their dates for the coming Months and we suggest you do the same if you are interested.  We put a lot of planning into your family portrait session as we don’t just plop you down anywhere and snap 5000 images.    Family Portraits are created to be hung on your walls as a display piece, so that you can look them every day.  We are SOOOO excited for this summer.  I LOVE photographing families on locations outdoors. :)

Natural Beauty!

March 28th, 2012

Crystal is another contestant that I chose from the Northern Northern Model Search event last Feb and we just wrapped up her shoot.  A little shy and nervous at first, but once the tunes started blaring over the speakers from her ipod she quickly relaxed and enjoyed the session (at least it appeared so).    I wanted more dark and moody lighting to compliment her stunning features and I think we came out with some stellar images.

Putting his goodlooks to a good cause!

March 23rd, 2012

Today I had a quick opportunity to photography Sudbury’s own Shawn McLaren (Host of THE EPISODE) for the upcoming Northern Cancer Foundations “Gentleman For Hope” Event being held at Brystons On The Park  May 25th, 2012.  Although the image is being used for the event, I thought I would doll one up for him and The Episode.    You can see more of Shawn and 9 other struttin gentleman at the Gentleman For Hope event, so make sure you come out and support this amazing foundation!!!
