Well the Coutu family has a new addition. Everyone please say hello to baby Dalilah. The Coutu family has come a long way since we first met, and we have photographed them throughout the process. First we photographed the ever lovely Madison in her ballet outfit, then later on in the year we all flew to Jamaica to photograph the Wedding of Sarah & Luc and now we just finished completing another series of images with their latest family portrait. Luckily we photographed this today because Madison is having her hair cut tomorrow (ten inches) to be donated to a specific charity for wigs. We just gotta say this, we LOVE our clients. All of you. Creating memorable portraits of you and your family is what we love best about our photography. It’s hard to explain, but I don’t think there is any other profession that allows you to be a close part of peoples lives and having you there as part of the important moments. Thanks you again Sarah, Luc, Madison and Dalilah. It was great to see you all again, and we look forward to your next session with us.
Here are a few images from Tracy & Jeffs wedding. The clouds loomed over for most of the day but the rain held off for our session and for their outdoor ceremony which took place at the Timberwolf Golf course.
“Hi Jocelyne:
Just wanted to let you know we have received the package. We are thrilled beyond belief!! We love everything! The video is amazing! I watched it 4 times now and we just got our package yesterday. Thank you both for doing a fantastic job honoring our day! It is timeless and we will cherish these memories forever. We are truly grateful for you and James! Thank you so much.”
Well we do apologize for not posting lately and I will admit I am going through withdrawals. So much that I am posting this post from my phone. We are in the middle of a move (house not studio) and the internet company put the internet on the wrong number so we will not have access until Monday, but I think I will head over to my mommies house tomorrow and borrow her computer to post another amazing wedding.
We photographed Sheri & Mark’s wedding this past June with sunny skies, smiling faces and one happy well dressed dog. The ceremony took place at Sheri’s parents place on the waters of Long Lake with a slight breeze, puffy clouds and tearful eyes (Tears of joy that is). After the ceremony we decided to head down the road to Sheri’s place which was formerly her Grandfathers house. What a gorgeous place to photograph and a welcome change to Sudbury’s Concrete Jungle. We had it all from small sheds, flowing streams, country roads and wooden bridges. The sun was high in the sky but we used it to our advantage with some creative lighting and humorous images. It was a pleasure to be a part of this wedding and also to be the ones to document it.
New Clothing Store opening up in Downtown Sudbury called SIXTY-SIX. We had the privilege of photographing images for their new marketing pieces. Check out some of the “behind the scenes” video that was captured at the photoshoot behind their store.
We also appreciate your emails and phone calls with your feedback on your photography session and finished products. Photographing everyday we tend to get into “robot” mode and these phone calls and emails really snap us back into “creative” mode and put smiles on our faces. Thank you SO MUCH!
“Hi Jocelyne and James,
Dad definitely loved his father’s day gift this year. Not only was it a gift for him, it was for me as well. To have those two perfect faces captured in a moment in time, so beautifully. Well I just can’t thank you enough. You have an amazing gift, thank you for sharing it. Some of the comments I’ve received on the photo’s have been “wow”, “stunning”, “absolutely gorgeous” which I of course think sums them up perfectly! The photo of Emma alone takes my breath away, you captured something I can’t quite explain. It’s like I’m seeing a picture of her 10 years from now. The photo of Emma and Gracie together with Gracie laughing, has pure joy jumping right out of the frame.
Thank you again, and I look forward to seeing what you capture for our family portraits.
Just received this email from the Mother of the Groom from our Geraldton Wedding we photographed last weekend.
“Hey there Joce & James,
Love the blog. Sorry about the menthol toothpaste. It is quite a funny story though (Hehe!). YES it did rain cats & dogs but you managed to help make it a wedding to remember. Thanks guys for rolling with the punches and keeping up with the positive waves. We had no choice but to follow along with you. Derek, Julz and their wedding party loved their photo session so much, they would have kept on posing for you all day and on through the night.
Thanks for the extra care you provided for Derek’s grandma too. We appreciated your concern and consideration.
Joe & I…we’re just crazy happy for the memories you helped us create. Can’t wait until we can see all the photos in August.
You two are truly an amazing and passionate team…Keep on creating magic!”

We are pretty sure EVERYONE had fun at the wedding….especially the Bride & Groom
We just got back from documenting Julie & Derek’s wedding in Geraldton Ontario. Where is Geraldton you ask? Well it’s about 9 hours North of Sudbury past Hearst Ontario that’s where. Like all my wedding days I start it off with a normal enough routine. I wake up, have a coffee, relax a bit and watch the weather network. This past Saturday I decided to do something different. Normally I have my coffee first THEN I brush my teeth but Saturday I decided to brush my teeth first so I feel fresh and minty. Now I know why I don’t do this. After brushing for a few seconds I noticed that my toothpaste had a very menthol taste to it, and it was very very “Cinnamon” like taste. Very cinnamon. A few seconds more I notice that it’s a little hot and spicy as well. As I am walking around the hotel room I am thinking, “I don’t remember my colgate tasting like this”. After about 1 minute my mouth is burning so hot I just can’t take it anymore and I rush into the bathroom to see what I have just put in my mouth. Well, turns out my “Icy Hot” Muscle Rub cream looks just like a toothpaste tube from the back. I am now AWAKE.
Now that I started the morning off right, I check the weather to confirm the very hot and sunny day they forcasted…………yesterday. Still says sunny on the WN channel, but of course, they have mislead me again, as it starts to downpour, and I don’t’ mean any downpour I mean let’s get the rods out and start fishing in the parking lot downpour. Dang (well I didn’t use that terminology). We head out to the resort wear the guys are staying and it’s still raining walley and pike. We wait about 45 minutes and catch a quick break in the sky to get some cool shots of the guys and about 1 hr after that the skies opened up and we had the most gorgeous day for a wedding. When we were just finishing up the last of the photos, the clouds came in, the thunder rolled and the rain started just as I was snapping off the last shot of the rings. Talk about perfect timing. Below is one image we captured taking advantage of the dark clouds in the background.
Jocelyne and myself would like to personally thank the Poulin and Wilkins family along with all your relatives, friends and bridal party. EVERYONE was in such great spirits, full of smiles and very helpful and accommodating. THIS, in my opinion makes a wonderful event SPECTACULAR! Gaetan thank you very much for offering up your property for some of the photos it is very much appreciated. Julie & Derek, thanks again for a great day, for a wedding like that, we would have traveled across the globe to do it all over again.
