Well we had a great day on the lake today which started at 5:30 am.  By 7:30 we were on the lake and looking for fish.  It didn’t take Bill and I long to find the sweet spot, unfortunately the other boat (with Don, Frank, and Austin) were not as lucky. They do not call me the Fish Whisperer for nothing.  We limited out several times over catching well over 30+ walley, some rocks, a pike, and well……Frank.  If you ever meet Frank, ask him how he caught two fish without even putting a line in the water.  I’ll tell you as well.

Well I arrived safe and sound in Thunder Bay and I have already done my walk-about.    I’m now in my hotel room jumping for joy (The beds here are VERY springy!!!), waiting in anticipation for our fishing excursion tomorrow morning which begins bright and early at 5:00 am.    Stay tuned for more video clips of the “Fish Whisperer” in action.   I managed to find a few Thunder Bay Wedding Photographer’s during my walk towards chapters and I even walked into a bridal boutique store and managed to easily convince them to display my images. This is something I will be bringing up at my workshop Sunday.  Anyways, for those of you who care, I’m alive.

I have headed out to good o’l Thunder Bay to for my presentation to the Professional Photographers of Ontario North Western Branch.    The last time I was there was in October of 2006 (of course I rode my motorcycle through there last year on our way to and from Alaska) giving a similar presentation.  The day I was supposed to leave I was fogged in so I had 24 hrs to hang out with my friend Big Bill Davis at his studio.  We had to take some creative images for a cake designer so we decided to use the natural windowlight in one of the back offices.  Every now and then a pedestrian would walk by and wonder what we were doing as three men were bearing down over 1 piece of cake.    Oh good times good times.  Hopefully I will have some new funny videos of the “Fish Whisperer” as I am spending 2 extra days to go fishing.  I of course, will keep you all posted.

Here are some more  images from a recent wedding we covered in Sudbury this past summer.  Jennifer & Nick were naturals in front of the camera and the whole bridal party really liked to whoop it up.  Natural light, Off Camera Flash, Sunshine and shade were all used to create some memorable images of this beautiful wedding couple.  Thanks again Jen & Nick for having us document your wedding day.

I shoot a lot of mining and industrial images for various companies across North America.  Most of the time after the shoot is done I never get to see how the images are incorporated into their business.  Every once and awhile though one of my contact persons will send me some of the finished products and publications.  This warms my heart. Right now I am creating a new slideshow to be displayed at my dentist office in the reception area. Going through all the images and remembering how much fun it was to create each and everyone of them. This post I dedicate to the furry Cat & Dog. These images are two of my favorite (even though they are not my pets).
