“Hi Jocelyne and James,
Mike and I watched the DVD and I have to tell you that it brought tears to my eyes. You
captured so many heartfelt moments throughout the day. We truly don’t feel as though we
even needed a videographer as the photos told our entire wedding story.
You truly captured all of the tiniest details that we may have otherwise forgotten and
I know that our families are going to be ecstatic about all of our family pics as well.
I just wanted to say thank you for documenting our day in such a magical and artistic way.”
Cheers
Melanie Squarzolo

Joce and I just finished photographing the wedding of Erin & Tyler and boy did we have fun. 12 total in the wedding party with a flower girls, ring bearers, and a dog that loves to roll in the grass (Brandy was not part of the bridal party though). It was beautiful day today and I could swear it was hotter than 22 degrees like they forecasted, but a good breeze and some cloud cover made for a very comfortable wedding. Just like their engagement session Erin & Tyler looked like naturals in front of the camera. Every time I would turn to photograph them, they were already in an elegant pose where I had to yell “FREEZE”. They made our job very very easy. Tyler’s best man was non other than Bernie Aho, another very talented Sudbury photographer who’s work is inspirational and fresh. Bernie is a stand-up guy, easy to talk to and you can tell right away he has the drive and passion for photography and success. The groomsmen were all smiles and laughs during their session, the bridesmaides were….well….what can we say……GORGEOUS just like the bride.
Tyler had a smile on his face the moment we met him in the morning (which got bigger when he saw Erin walking down the isle) and Erin was absolutely stunning in her raw silk dress throughout the day. It was a blast photographing these two, their wedding party and their family. Thanks again everyone for making this wedding a whole lot ‘o’ fun.

Lesley and Sav were married this past June 19th (on my birthday) here in Sudbury Ontario. We met Lesley and Sav a few years ago when they came to our studio inquiring about our wedding photography. I met Sav a few years ago before that at my good friend Jeff’s wedding (Sav is Jeff’s brother in Law). The guys were in full form as they consisted of family members so hanging out laughing, boasting and the “odd” posing we clicked off some images in the downtown area. We headed across town to Long Lake were met Lesley & Girls. Lesley had the perfect yard for images of her and her girls with some trees, shade and long Country road. When Lesley walked down the isle all eyes were on her (some were on Sav) as she just radiated elegance. The Church was bright, open & hot but there was lots of room to roam around and capture some different angles. We then roamed around the Sudbury Area finding some nooks and crannies to capture the bridal party and the new married couple. Murphy showed his ugly head again, but we used it to our advantage (inside joke). The Caruso Club looked amazing and everything was perfectly placed and orchestrated. Lesley and Sav opted for their first dance right away upon entering (something 90% of our couples now do) and with the atmosphere the Club projected it was one for the books. Here are a few images from their wedding. We look forward to reading your comments.

Thanks again Lesley & Sav. Joce and I had a great time documenting your wedding day. We look forward to future sessions with you.

Just received this email from the Mother of the Groom from our Geraldton Wedding we photographed last weekend.
“Hey there Joce & James,
Love the blog. Sorry about the menthol toothpaste. It is quite a funny story though (Hehe!). YES it did rain cats & dogs but you managed to help make it a wedding to remember. Thanks guys for rolling with the punches and keeping up with the positive waves. We had no choice but to follow along with you. Derek, Julz and their wedding party loved their photo session so much, they would have kept on posing for you all day and on through the night.
Thanks for the extra care you provided for Derek’s grandma too. We appreciated your concern and consideration.
Joe & I…we’re just crazy happy for the memories you helped us create. Can’t wait until we can see all the photos in August.
You two are truly an amazing and passionate team…Keep on creating magic!”
Renée & Don (Joe) Wilkins, Blind River, Ontario
We are pretty sure EVERYONE had fun at the wedding….especially the Bride & Groom

What a gorgeous day for wedding wasn’t it? It started off cloudy and crappy and then wham, the skies opened up, the sun came out and the birds started singing. We just finished documenting the wonderful wedding of Melanie & Mike and it was a blast. It’s amazing the energy that stays in the air when everyone involved in the wedding are excited, happy and full of fun and today was no exception. The wedding party was blast, the family (the huge families) were all smiles and the guests friendly, polite and very helpful. After we are done, Joce and I tend to contemplate the day going over the images, the moments, the laughs and the emotions and it always keeps us saying the same thing, “This is why we love weddings.”
We would like to personally thank the two of you Melanie & Mike, your bridal party, and your family and guests for making this day very enjoyable. THANK YOU!

What a fabulous day it was today. Not only did we get to document another amazing Sudbury Wedding, but we also got the chance to hang out with some great friends at the same time. I have known Mark since high school, we fished together, hung out at the clubs (way back in the day) and we pretty well hang around the same crowd. Today he married his beautiful wife Sheri at her parents property on Long Lake. Well, it’s no hidden secret that Mark like’s to fish, any time, anywhere, any chance he can get. Even today I played a little joke on him telling him I won a free trip to Alwaki Lake lodge for 3 people all inclusive fishing trip, but we had to leave tomorrow (knowing full well he had an after wedding brunch at his in-laws). Well you could see the wheels turning in his head, I knew what he was thinking, the same thing I would have tried to figure out. “how can I get out of brunch.” We had a good laugh about it.
After visiting Sheri’s place in the morning we quickly learned that there were LOADS of opportunities for wedding photos. She had it all, sheds, fields, wooden bridges, huge tree’s you name it, this property had it. So why rush back into the city when we had our little paradise here? Bridge? If there is a bridge, then there must be a creek? If there is a creek, is there fish? LOL. Anyways, to make a long blog short, we all thought it would be funny to have an image of Mark fishing on his wedding day. So we put a Hodgy Humor spin on it and came up with this. I love it when we have loads of time to get creative.

Thanks again everyone for a truly wonderful wedding. Family, bridal party, heck even the weather was perfect. We had a blast as usual.

I don’t mean the “experience” that the photographer has capturing images, I mean the experience that the photographers create on the wedding day for the bride & groom. We just received this email from our wedding couple from 2 weekends ago.
We absolutely LOVE the photos and the “teaser pod” is so aptly named. Everyone I showed them to got to the last picture and said “awww, I want to see more.” I can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures because the 25 that we got last night are absolutely amazing. I can’t believe that the pictures of me don’t show just how nervous I was. You guys made everything so easy for me and relieved a lot of my anxiety and everyone in the bridal party thought the two of you “made the day, and without them it could have been a really long day.” I’ve already warned Aaron that we will see a lot of you through the years to come.

We just finished documenting Tracy & Jeff’s amazing wedding which took place at the Timber Wolfe Golf Course. We opted to do all the formal images before the ceremony which gave us loads of time to travel all around Sudbury and area. Jocelyne and I are always talking about the connections we make with our wedding clients. After photographing their engagement session and family sessions we know so much about them that we consider them friends. When the wedding day arrives we are all smiles, hugs and hand shakes eager to be a part of this amazing day. We had such a BLAST with everyone today and we personally want to thank you all for making this wedding day a photographic dream. The guys were great, the women were stunning, the groom was all smiles and the bride was eye candy in front of my camera. You really couldn’t have orchestrated a better wedding day than what just took place today. YOU GUYS ROCK! Have a great time in St. Lucia.

Of course, I am not attending, but documenting. Today was another series of images for the Cambrian College Programs. This image was metering the amount of “wind” created by the fan. It was pretty technical, and of course I tuned myself out (like I usually do).

DOG DAY IMAGE #3
“Django”
This guy just had that “in your face” look.
