Sudbury Summer Family Portraits

Monday, March 29th, 2010

Well the weather is getting warmer, the ice is coming off the lakes and the yellow grass will soon be turning green.  Along with the mosquitoes and blackflies it’s also the starting of our outdoor family portrait sessions.  Joce and I LOVE creating beautiful family portraits, especially on location where we can all feel relaxed, comfortable and enjoy some summer fresh air.  Personally, and this is my opinion, but I think EVERY family should have up to date family portraits on the walls in their homes, offices, and cottages (anyplace where people can enjoy the image).

Your kids may be leaving for College or University, heck they might already be gone and the only family photo on the wall was from 1982.  Next time the whole family is back home together book a family portrait session so you can have these images to enjoy in between the visits.  A family portrait can mean more to the people involved than you probably realize.  It might not be today, tomorrow, or even next week, but when they get older,  looking back at that family portrait will bring back all the memories they had at that time of their life, and yours too.

It really doesn’t ‘cost that much!

Friday, March 26th, 2010

Here is another Pin-Up I am working on for Franks Deli.  Just having lunch there last week, we were surprised by how much food we received (especially the footlong hotdog) for the low amount it cost us.  Definitely  a jaw dropper.

Pin-Up Perfection Day  IS Saturday March 27th, 2010
(by appointment)

There are only 8 openings left for this day so you need to call and book your slot.  Call Jocelyne at 705-693-0654

Our Pin-Up Perfection Sessions are a completely different experience from our other sessions.  Oh, don’t be mistaken, you still have fun, you will still laugh, and you will walk away with some amazing images, but you will also be creating a timeless image of yourself. One that will be completely different than any other images you may have of yourself.  Your Pin-Up Perfection image will show a side of you that hasn’t been captured before and one that your family and friends will be jealous that you had your image created before them.

5 REASONS TO BE A PIN-UP PERFECTIONIST

1.  Because  your image will be colorful, exciting and something new.

2. You always knew you had it in you but never had a chance to express your Pin-Up “attitude”.

3. It will make a great gift for your boyfriend, or husband
(who wouldn’t want an Iphone pic of you?_

4. It’s another reason to get your hair & make-up done and leave the house.

5. You will look HOT!  We promise.

Well we can’t have that now can we?

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Received this comment this morning in regards to my last blog post.

“You are amazing…thanks so much for capturing a moment that will last forever. Princess Chloe is angry and crying under the table because there is no picture of her…I told her that soon we will go back and she will be able to see all her pictures too. She said the green sucker was great!”

Well, there is one thing that I can’t stand and that is a crying princess.  So just for you my little princess….voila!

More dogs, and it isn’t even Dog Day.

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

Here are two images from our family session today (I will post some more of the family over the holidays) as I have already finished these two images  for my latest Smarticle at www.shootsmarter.com.  Lambo can do it all, from shake a paw to play dead.   We basically wore the poor pooch out and by the end of the session he was like “yaaaa, fetch it yourself.”

Don’t Forget To Save The Date

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

It’s just one of those extra things we like to offer our wedding clients……Save The Date Cards. These cards give your friends a family a “heads up” that you are getting married and to look into keeping that date open.  This is especially good for family and friends that have to make long distance travel plans and other arrangements to attend your wedding .   Some couples will send these out a few months before their wedding but other couples have been known to send them out a year in advance or when they finally set a date for the wedding.   They are becoming very popular and we are getting a lot of requests for them.  Our cards are 7×5 printed front and back with your choice of wording and image.

(we can also design Thank You Cards and Christmas Cards of the same type)

joceme

Yes, that is Joce and me on the left, and yes, we are
a little bit “off” when it comes to our own portraits,
but we do like to have a lot of fun during our
photography sessions.

Don’t let this photo fool you, we LOVE what
we do and we want to create the most
outstanding images for each of our clients.

People always stop and ask me “How did you get into
photography?”   My reply was always the same,
“uhhhhh, hmmm, welll, you seee, uhhhhh,
I guess………… It’s the only thing I’m good at?”

Now I do have a lot of other talents (the fish whisperer), but I think photography stands at the top of them all.  It’s been just over 10 years since I picked up my first camera and I see no end in sight. In my opinion photography is a lifestyle, it pretty well overtakes who you are.  You eat, sleep, breath photography.  Other photographers who are reading this will be nodding their heads going “uh huh”, and other spouses of photographers who are reading this will be nodding their heads going “uh huh”, but their “uh huh” will be a little more lower toned haha.. <read more>
