Beautiful Babies In Sudbury

Monday, September 19th, 2011

It’s always an honor to be the one to photograph the newest additions to our wedding clients families.  It wasn’t that long ago that we documented the wedding of Shannon & Chris and now little Aila has joined  the two of them for their next photography session.  This little one was such a cutie and even though she wasn’t feel that well, she did pose long enough for us to create some memorable images.  Shannon, Chris, thanks again for trusting us with your daughters portraits.

No Ducking Around With This Family

Friday, September 9th, 2011

Tonight we had the pleasure of photographing the “Munro” family.  This wasn’t our typical family session as the images are being used for a local campaign project but we still treated it like one of our regular photographic family adventures.  The kids were awesome!  The point of this session was to get a portrait where the family was doing what they do best.  Be a family.  So we headed out to Ramsey lake and basically found things that the family could enjoy doing together.  This was one of the last images we captured as we discovered the ducks at the end of the evening, and unfortunately we didn’t have any bread to feed them with (they really didn’t like the rocks that was presented to them), but they still came around to see what was going on.

The Cutest Twins In Sudbury

Wednesday, August 17th, 2011

I knew the moment I tripped the shutter that I captured a great moment between these sisters.  No prompting, no coaxing, just good o’l fashion sisterly love!  I love photographing kids outdoors.  Finding the right location with a subtle background and nice soft lighting with warm colors just brings the whole image together.

Sudbury Maternity

Thursday, June 9th, 2011

When Chantal came in for her consultation she knew exactly what she wanted for her maternity session photos.  This made my job a lot easier and the session flew by quickly.  So quickly that her husband and I rarely had a chance to talk fishing LOL.   Although we did wackload (that’s my word) of images, I find I am always drawn to this pose.  Thanks Chantal & Shawn allowing Joce and I to capture this precious moment in your lives.

It’s Graduation Time

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

Well back from my fishing trip (video to come in a few minutes) and it’s back to work I go.  I just finished photographing Tyler’s Cap ‘N’ Gown portrait as the one he and his family were not happy with the images taken at the school.  We used our kick*ss Color Smack background “Acid Rain” from our good friends Travis & Paula  of Silverlake Photo Accessories to add a little color to the standard Cap “N’ Gown portrait.  Tomorrow we are photographing the Lasalle Secondary Prom and we have another Color Smack that we just got in today to use for this event.  Stay tuned!

Trying to achieve that artsy marternity.

Tuesday, May 10th, 2011

Since I wasn’t able to blog yesterday I thought I would add two more images from our last maternity session.  The goal for these images was to have a more “artsy”, “moody” feel to them and still keep them classy.  Images like these can be displayed as large wall canvas wall portraits if the client wanted to.  Keeping the images B&W also draws the viewers attention to the subject and not the colored fabric being used.

Sudbury Senior

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

As you know, Taylor is one of our Senior Reps for this year and next.  Recently we surprised her with a 42 inch poster she can hang in her room. This is what she had to say.

“Thanks James and Joce soooo much!! I love my poster, it shows all the different things about me! I don`t know a senior who couldn’t`t want a memory like that!!  Cant wait til my next shoot!( Soon please I’m pumped) You guyyyys are the best:):)”

Senior photography is getting more and more popular here in Ontario.  For those of you Highschool Seniors who  are looking for something different to remember your highschool days you might want to look into having a Senior Portrait Session.
