The Cutest Twins In Sudbury
Wednesday, August 17th, 2011I knew the moment I tripped the shutter that I captured a great moment between these sisters. No prompting, no coaxing, just good o’l fashion sisterly love! I love photographing kids outdoors. Finding the right location with a subtle background and nice soft lighting with warm colors just brings the whole image together.

A Look At Krista & Jeff’s Wedding
Monday, August 15th, 2011Like clockwork it’s been about six weeks after Krista & Jeff’s wedding and they now have everything in their hands, so it’s time I shared with the rest of you a little insight into Jeff & Krista’s Sudbury Wedding.
“James and Joce,
We’ve received our photo package…we absolutely love them all! We laughed, we cried, we ooohed and aaahed. We couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you very much. We’re very excited to share these with our friends and family.
Thanks again for the wonderful work you’ve done.”

Some Clients Suck Their Thumbs
Thursday, August 11th, 2011When the Kolar Family came in to view their images from their session earlier this week, we decided to photography Baby Mila on High Key White to show off her new hat. We could only get her hand out of her mouth for maybe a split second before she shoved it right back in there. Well, why fight it? If that is what she likes, then that is what we are going to capture. Personally, I prefer the hand in mouth look myself.
(I’m more known for foot in mouth myself).

The Pappano’s Rock Another Family Portrait
Friday, August 5th, 2011The Pappano’s were back with another kickbutt family portrait. It’s been almost two years since their last one (Take a peak here), and this time they brought the Pinkerton’s and McNabb’s to throw into the mix. Joce and I couldn’t believe how the Pappano girls have grown into beautiful young ladies in such a short time and there was no shortage of smiles from each of them during the session. As I said in my earlier posts, we LOVE photographing families!!! It’s so much fun, especially when the family are having a good time throughout the session. We have 4 (FOUR) generations in this family and Jerry (Great Grandmother) has just as much energy as anyone else in this portrait. We have sooooooooooooo many good images to post in the future, and of course I always will post one, but I thought I would post two, just to show you how we wrapped up the session. Thanks again everyone, it’s families like yours that keeps reminding us why we love photography.

Sudbury Families ROCK!!
Thursday, August 4th, 2011Most of you know that Joce and I LOVE photographing families, and our session tonight was no exception. It started out with everyone on the doc and ended up with everyone in the water. This session had “candid” written all over it and Tammy & Jason’s property on Long Lake was the perfect place to take advantage of multiple scenarios. It’s been a few years since their last Family Portrait (Take a Peak Here) and since then they have added a new addition to the family………….little Olivia. Joce and both commented on how much Joy this Angel has brought to this already happy family as it was evident throughout the entire session. I can’t wait to show you some of the candid images we created for this family. Tammy, Jason, Jake, Cale & Olivia, thank you so much for making this session seem like a day at the beach, because that was almost exactly what it turned out to be.
Here is the last shot from the first scenario. We changed it up from our original plan to make it more of a “story telling” image. It worked.

A Kids Laughter Is Always Contagious
Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011We always take the time to photograph the kids individually while on a family session. Most of the time it’s outdoors where the kids get to romp around and just be themselves. Family members are all trying their best to get the child to laugh or smile, and most of the time it’s a great success. You don’t have to have the kid looking directly at the camera to capture one of those “Kodak Moments”, all you need is good lighting, good exposure (you don’t need a good camera either), proper lens choice and kids smile to make it all complete.

Ramsey Lake Family Portrait
Monday, July 11th, 2011Do you know what goes on Monday evenings at Ramsey lake when it’s nice outside? Pretty well everything, including dragon boat practice (try finding a parking spot). We were scheduled to photograph the Lavoie family earlier this evening at Bell Park to show some Sudbury Rock and Water, but made a last ditch effort to change locations to someplace that wasn’t as busy. Luckily Bob had a family cottage on Ramsey that has been in the family for over 90 years and was conveniently located minutes away. Waiting for the sunlight to simmer down we walked around the property utilizing rocks, docks and driveways. The first photograph had me chest high in the water to place the sunlight behind them for a more pleasing image, luckily I wasn’t wearing white shorts.
Thanks again Bonnie, Bob, Kurtis, Brenen, Bennett & Remi. We had a great time with you all tonight.

Even the ducks say it’s enough rain.
Thursday, June 23rd, 2011Jovana & Bobby Were Married Today
Saturday, June 4th, 2011Joce and I just finished documenting the wedding of Jovana & Bobby today. What a blast we had. There was so much laughter, emotion, shots & singing. Music was always playing and there were plenty of smiles to go around. This was our first Serbian wedding to document and I hope it isn’t the last. The traditions that we were a part of today totally blew Joce and I away. It’s all about laughter, music and family!. I couldn’t believe how time just flew by today, especially when I thought we were going to have a rainy thunderstorm day (Thank the heavens the weathernetwork was wrong………….again). Jovana & Bobby, to you and all your family and friends, thank you for allowing Jocelyne and myself be a part of your special day. We truly enjoyed photographing this momentous occasion.
