I Am Full Of College Boreal
Thursday, March 17th, 2011At least my tummy is. Today was another full day photographing the College’s Accademic Calendar and the best was saved for last. My rule of thumb is that I have to eat anything food related that I photograph, and today was full of deserts and dishes. Chef Simon Le Henaff creations are all part of the College Boreal’s NEW Culinary Arts Program.

Food Photography Fills My Belly!
Wednesday, November 10th, 2010Recently I photographed more succulent entree’s for the MIC (Made In Canada ) Website (designed by Petryna Adv.) & Restaurant. These new items will be featured on billboards throughout the city. I am very happy that they like the previous images I created for their restaurant, and I hope in the future they come out with more dishes and drinks for me to photograph as it really does make my belly happy.
Rollin In The Hay
Tuesday, October 19th, 2010When you let kids just be kids you can get some amazing images. If you find the right light, with the right location, it can all come together. Just after we finished the family session I quickly had mom and dad move away as Lucas here was in the right spot, at the right time, doing the right stuff.

Another Sudbury Pin-Up Perfection
Wednesday, April 28th, 2010Sudbury Commercial Photography
Thursday, February 4th, 2010Here is another commercial image from one of my recent shoots. Sometimes it’s tricky to get light where there is no light. Luckily I have enough small flashes that I can tuck and hide them in places you wouldn’t normally think of (that didn’t sound right). For me, it’s all about lighting, as lighting can make or break an image no matter how good the subject matter is.
(note to self: When sparks start to fly, make sure you are far enough away so they do not land in your hair…or on your clothes…..or skin)

Suckered In To Goofing Around
Monday, December 28th, 2009Here is another image from the “Matt Pack” Session. This was nearing the end, after they found the bag of wigs and accessories. There are more and I will post them when we get back to work (still kinda on holidays). Unlike other “HodgyPoP” sessions, this image was shot with this background and lighting. She was not cutout in PS and pasted into the frame. Lighting is my usual 5 light setup.

Home For Holiday Photos
Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009Matt, Reem & Shannon come to Sudbury for the Holidays and not 24 hours in the Sudz they headed over to our studio to create some new images to take back home. I don’t think I have ever seen our studio this cluttered with clothes hahaha. We spent a few hours photographing each of them individually and then we worked our way into a bunch of group photos. I will start this blog series with these 3 images and later over the holidays I will post more (they tend to get more odd as time went by:) ) It was so much fun with loads of energy flowing through the shooting room (not to mention some kick butt tunes… Thanks Reem I am downloading from Itunes as I type). Stay tuned for more images of the Matt Pack.

In Sudbury Family Means Everyone.
Friday, December 11th, 2009When we create family portraits (indoors or outdoors) we always include everyone. Some people think we create the one portrait and then it’s done. Not so. We break down the family into individual portraits, groupings, sub families etc.. This ensures that everyone is captured and it also makes it much easier for the family to create wall groupings with the portraits we created. Here are a few individuals of the “kids” from Michelle & Mark’s family portrait (Posted in an earlier post).

Father & Son
Tuesday, November 24th, 2009Being a Sudbury Photography Studio in the North we bring in clients from all over the Province. As with the previous post of Mother and Son, we absolutely have to capture Father and Son as well. Again keeping it simple using negative space to draw your eyes into our subjects. This is an important time in a families life and we feel very honored that people chose us to document this moment.
