A New Addition To The Family

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

Well the Coutu family has a new addition.  Everyone please say hello to baby Dalilah.  The Coutu family has come a long way since we first met, and we have photographed them throughout the process.  First we photographed the ever lovely Madison in her ballet outfit, then later on in the year we all flew to Jamaica to photograph the Wedding of Sarah & Luc and now we just finished completing another series of images with their latest family portrait.  Luckily we photographed this today because Madison is having her hair cut tomorrow (ten inches) to be donated to a specific charity for wigs.    We just gotta say this, we LOVE our clients.  All of you.  Creating memorable portraits of you and your family is what we love best about our photography.  It’s hard to explain, but I don’t think there is any other profession that allows you to be a close part of peoples lives and having you there as part of the important moments.  Thanks you again Sarah, Luc, Madison and Dalilah.  It was great to see you all again, and we look forward to your next session with us.

We also appreciate your emails and phone calls with your feedback on your photography session and finished products.  Photographing everyday we tend to get into “robot” mode and these phone calls and emails really snap us back into “creative” mode and put smiles on our faces.  Thank you SO MUCH!

“Hi Jocelyne and James,

Dad definitely loved his father’s day gift this year.  Not only was it a gift for him, it was for me as well. To have those two perfect faces captured in a moment in time, so beautifully.  Well I just can’t thank you enough. You have an amazing gift, thank you for sharing it. Some of the comments I’ve received on the photo’s have been “wow”, “stunning”, “absolutely gorgeous” which I of course think sums them up perfectly!  The photo of Emma alone takes my breath away, you captured something I can’t quite explain. It’s like I’m seeing a picture of her 10 years from now. The photo of Emma and Gracie together with Gracie laughing, has pure joy jumping right out of the frame.

Thank you again, and I look forward to seeing what you capture for our family portraits.

Have a fantastic day.”

A Sudbury Family Portrait

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

Joce and I just got back from photographing the wonderfully color coordinated Leroy Family.    We scouted out a great location for this portrait and it just so happens to be a place that holds a lot of memories for the daughters which makes a family portrait like this more meaningful.   Creating a family portrait for our clients is something that we like to put a lot of thought into, especially the clothing choices.  No matter how great the poses are, the location is, or how big the smiles are, if the clothing is all over the place (stripes, patterns, different colors) it will distract from the most important element of the photograph.  The family.  Portraits like this are ment to be on the wall, to show off to your friends, and constantly look at while you walk by or into the room.  It will be a conversation piece, a comforting memory, and a life’s accomplishment.  When you have kids that have left the house, or are living far away from home, a family portrait is the perfect investment to keep them close to your heart.

Thanks Lorna, Amanda, Jennifer, Jordan, Carolyn, Mike and Emily, you have a fabulous family and it was a pleasure creating these images for you.

Kids, Kids & More Kids

Friday, October 17th, 2008

Well some of you might recognize these two little raggamamuffins.  They are the kids of our good friends the Kinsellas.  I’ve been fortunate to photograph these two over the past few years along with other members of the family.  I mentioned below about clients = friends, and this is somewhat of another example.  I have been friends with Jamie for years now, but we did lose touch for a few years.  Luckily a few years back, and through photography our numbers crossed.  Since then I have photographed their wedding, maternity, first child, brothers wedding, maternity, second child, family, and on and on and on.  It’s great watching this family grow and me having the ability to capture it for them.

Shameless Plug for Jamie – If your looking for a quick oil change, great prices, and awesome service,
head out to the Just Lubes in Chelmsford.  It’s worth the drive.  While your there, ask Jamie how to stand on two gators at once………….while moving………….in a tux. :)

Weddings = Friends

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

Joce and I just got home from photographing the Vincent Family out on their farm in Lavigne.  We have known Cindy & Gaston since last year when we photographed their wedding (our first wedding of 2007).   The first time I met them I knew that we clicked, and within the first hour of their wedding I knew that we would be photographing them in the future.    I remember one thing that Cindy said to Joce and I during their wedding reception, “it’s like we have known you two for years” and Joce and I agreed.  It’s a great feeling to become friends with your clients, it let’s you know your doing something right.

Today started out with horseback riding on their property, then we munched down some cheese & crackers and other goodies (CHOCOLATE!!!!!), played around with the dogs, and then finished off with creating some awesome images.  This was the first of many images we created, you just can’t go wrong here.  It all fell into place perfectly, good lighting, great location, and friends.
