Just yesterday it was Fall…

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

Today it is winter, and boy I can’t wait until December 21st.  Know why?  Because it is the shortest day of the year and that means after December 21st, the days start to get longer, and then BAMMO, summertime is here again Yippeee!.  Man did the fall seem to go by fast.  I have been meaning to post this one image for awhile but it always slipped my mind, so as I was going through orders I made  a point to post it.  This is from one of our fall engagement sessions (I posted earlier about this one) and just as we were about to wrap up  I discovered the look.  You know.  The one “as photographers” we see when looking through our viewfinder and we yell “DON’T MOVE!” , “YOUR PERFECT!”.  That was the case with this image.

Hodgy Humor Part III

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

Tonight we finished Josee & Jason’s engagement session out at their property on Bear Lake.   It had an abundance of different locations and “props” that we could incorporate into the session.  Learning that Jason had the same sense of humor as I did it didn’t take us long to come up with some odd images.  After we finished the session I had to create these 2 images because it’s not everyday you find a plastic spring horse ride nearby.  Stay tuned for more images from their engagement session.

Lock & Load Engagement

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

No, this is not a “Shotgun” wedding but we did have fun with the theme. We just finished Amanda & Tyler’s engagement session last night at Onaping Falls.  They wanted to incorporate theirs hotguns (as they are avid hunters) into a few images so after we did some of the mushy- lovy-dovy- “this is awwwwkwarddddd”- photos we broke out the guns and started “shooting”.  Here is just one of the crazy fun images we created last night.  Mandy, Tyler, thanks again for last night we had a blast.  Your family blog post to come soon.

Sudbury Engagement Hunger

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

Alright, it’s time to get back into the swing of things and start posting daily right?  Ahhhhhh it’s good to be home.  When Joce and I cover our engagement sessions we try to get our couples to relax (and it works about 99.99999 % of the time).  Usually by the end of the session 0ur subjects are so comfortable in front of the camera that they don’t even know it’s there.  This is the “magic” time when we can capture images that show their connection with each other.

Who needs a park and flowers.

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

Joce and I just finished Tina and Matt’s engagement session.  WOW, what a blast.  We did something different today, well, we didn’t DO anything different, we just did the same thing, but in totally different locations.   We found some cooooool locations right in our backyard.   We didn’t find any green leaves or full foliaged trees because, well, it’s that time year, but just doing some drive-by’s around town we found some different spots.    After doing some quick digital spray painting, we came up with this image.

Matt & Tina, thanks for a great evening……… and the heads up. haha.
