Buffy The Diamond Slayer

Monday, June 13th, 2011

Well her name wasn’t really “Buffy” and she didn’t really slay the diamonds, but she did get them polished using this buffer so that they would look pretty on any woman’s finger.

My images in the finished product.

Monday, May 2nd, 2011

Working with Dave Cooper at www.ttccreative.com today I asked about the images I created in Sioux Lookout for a book that was being created of the new Court House.  Unfortunately their client didn’t  go ahead with the book and thus my images were not used.  This did make me think about finding how and where my images were being used via the TTC company as I have done many shoots for them in the past few years.

Here are a few companies that TTC Creative has done the Branding and Promotional Material for where some of my images have been used.

Your Business Photography FACE LIFT special.

Thursday, March 31st, 2011

WARNING: The Photography You are Using Could Be doing More Harm Than GOOD! It’s true. People perceive and make snap judgments based on the images you show them.  It’s not fair, and not accurate, but it’s a fact. Why Would Anyone Want To Send A Message That Says Low Quality, Snap Shot And Sub-Standard?  I see this day in and day out, in the malls, on billboards, websites even facebook.  I guarantee that some people will look at your company with  a different point of view.  You can have the most amazing building  but if the washroom is dirty, cluttered and just doesn’t look inviting, it will reflect on the rest of the building. The same thing applies to the images you use for your marketing and promotions.

But alas, you need not worry, because I am here to save the day Dun Dun DAAAAAAA!!!!!  For the month of April James Hodgins Photography is offering a Business Photography FACE LIFT Special for only $499.  Check out all the details on this special event on the FACE LIFT PROMO PAGE.  If you have any questions, just give us a shout or email.

I Am Full Of College Boreal

Thursday, March 17th, 2011

At least my tummy is.  Today was another full day photographing the College’s Accademic Calendar and the best was saved for last.  My rule of thumb is that I have to eat anything food related that I photograph, and today was full of deserts and dishes.  Chef Simon Le Henaff creations are all part of the College Boreal’s NEW Culinary Arts Program.

Cocktails & Candy

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010

Every year at this time it seems I end up photographing goodies that add pounds to the hips and blurriness to my eyes.  It seems more and more restaurant owners are realizing  that good photography can represent their food and drinks better in their marketing promotions and advertising products.    Hopefully more and more local business’s will figure this out sooner than later so that I can take advantage of eating and drinking after the shoots (LOL – Laugh out loud).  If your interested, send me an email and I will let you in on a great promotion we are offering new commercial clients.

Food Photography Fills My Belly!

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

Recently I photographed more succulent entree’s for the MIC (Made In Canada )  Website (designed by Petryna Adv.) & Restaurant.  These new items will be featured on billboards throughout the city.  I am very happy that they like the previous images I created for their restaurant, and I hope in the future they come out with more dishes and drinks for me to photograph as it really does make my belly happy.

This is what happens after we are finished with the dish.

Full Steam Ahead At The Sudbury Smelter

Monday, October 25th, 2010

Here is an image I photographed at the Sudbury Smelter shipping division.  I tried lifting the bag myself but it seems to weigh more than 125 lbs.
