A Sudbury Family Portrait

Last month we photographed Lucas in the studio, but after we were finished the session, Lucas told me that he really wanted an outdoor family portrait with mom & dad on location at their home. Well how do you say no? So Saturday we photographed the three of them behind Paula’s K9 Country Club at spot where they often go for walks and small adventures. In between setups I noticed how Mom was playing with baby and immediately told dad to jump right in. I say this a lot, but often when you let your clients just be themselves they can reveal the best photo opportunities, just like the one I captured below.

A New Sudbury Family Is Created.

Yesterday Lisa & Joey Dupuis brought in their newborn baby boy “Dacey” to have their first family portrait created. All three were naturals in front of the camera, smiling, laughing, cooing, peeing (well not Lisa & Joey) and the connection between the three of them was evident during the whole session. We love photographing new families, it’s a beautiful time in a couples lives when their first-born is brought into their world. Dacey has already started to grow up and there is no stopping it, but the Dupuis family have this image to remember this moment forever. Thank you Lisa & Joey for allowing us to create this wonderful image of your new family. Congratulations.

Recently our friend (and fellow photographer) Gen came by our studio to have her son Carter photographed. We pretty well wrapped up the session and I was starting to put my lights away when I turned around and saw Gen standing there holding her son. I quickly turned around saying “don’t move” and snagged a few more quick images.
