JAMES HODGINS PHOTOGRAPHY

It’s back to work this week (well depends if it’s too cold to go out fishing or not) and we are gearing up for another great year.  Revamping the studio, revamping our packages and revamping our clientele.   Here is another one of Brittany.  She will be coming in this week to choose her images so I will have more to show.  I couldn’t help myself from posting another one. : )  This is with my homemade kitchen light from Home Depot.

This little one was practicing his sleeping techniques for Christmas Eve while he visited our studio today.

I just couldn’t resit capturing a portrait of these two friends.  Everyone who owns a pet know that they are more than that, they are our closest friends.

A couple of weeks ago we photographed the  local band “Rockburst” in our downtown core. They needed a group image that they could use for promoting and marketing around town.  We came up with this quick concept based on one of our family portraits we did a few years ago.  I quickly threw this together (rough draft) using their logo’s concept for the image.  I’ll keep you posted on the final edition.

Melina came into our studio today so that we could capture her new look.  What look is that?  We like to call it “Hotness”.    She’s worked hard, put in the time, and now it’s time to reap the benefits.  This is just one quick sneak peak at what we created for Melina, of course all the work was done by her, I just captured what was there. Beauty.

You have heard me say it before, sometimes the best images are when your subjects are not even looking at the camera.  We just finished the “water” session with the family and kids were having some fun before the next shoot.  I just love the faces of the two brothers as their sister takes control with the splashing.

Krista & Rob are the type of couple that will tell you they don’t photograph well together but will prove you wrong with every click of the shutter.  We just love couples that manage to create their own moments in front of the camera without us prompting them in any way or they think I am fiddling with my camera settings when really I am just waiting for that right moment when they think I am not looking.  I have said it before and I will say it again, I LOVE the images of couples where they are not looking at the camera, acting like we are not around, cuddling together when they think we are not looking, those make the best “captured moments” images.  Krista, Rob, thanks again for a great session, the two of you “fit” well together, in pictures and out.  Congrats to the two of you again.

With the overwhelming response we have had to our previous pet events and the amount of phone calls and emails in regards to our iguana photography, we have decide to open up a special event for all you reptile lizard lovers.  LOVE YOUR LIZARD day is coming this Spring and we are totally stoked on what we have to offer.  We only have 20 slots available and we have already booked 7 of them without even advertising this event.  We will photograph your lizard individually and of course with you or your loved ones.  NOTE: We use the most flattering light on your lizard and have also purchased a new Lizard-EYE Lens specifically for this event (Like the fish-eye lens only there is a new UV coating on the lens as reptiles are cold blooded)

I was editing some files today getting prepped for an appointment with Franks Deli and I realized that I started working on image last year and I never finished it.  It just need a few minor touches so I thought I would now post it.
