JAMES HODGINS PHOTOGRAPHY

Here are few more images from Taylors High School Senior portrait session.  I love to use natural light when it is possible especially if there is just a hint of  clouds to soften the sunlight.  For these images  the sun was behind Taylor highlight her hair and adding “warmth” to the image.  We are still looking for a few more Senior Models to represent James Hodgins Photography so if you are outgoing, fun, love to have your portraits taken and are not shy to spread the word then contact us for a consultation.    We promise it will be fun and rewarding, just ask Taylor!

That’s all it took to get Taylor to spring into action.  We just finished another photo session for Taylors High School Senior Portraits.  The fact that she is heavily involved with dance we had to incorporate it into the session.

Last night we photographed one of our Senior Models for James Hodgins Photography.  Taylor is now a Senior at Lockerby Composite and will be representing James Hodgins Photography for the 2010/2011 year.  Wow is she photogenic and was also a natural in front of the camera.  We have many more shoots scheduled for Taylor including a Trash the Prom Dress, dance shoot and a few other creative ideas we discussed.  Taylor receives her “model for a day” session free, plus other goodies in return for spreading the word about Kick*butt Senior Photography.  Stay tuned for more images of the stunning Taylor Austin.

Well we had another rockin day yesterday. We took the beautiful actress Melissa downtown St. Catherines  so we could find more Heaven in the oddest places. We started off using the outside of the textile warehouse we used the day before with Dana. Luckily the security guard was there again so we headed back inside, but this time we used the other side of the building. I set up my flashes for some off camera flash, and gave each of my students only two shots. The first one was to see if they did it correctly and to make any adjustments and the second shot they had to make count. They seemed to have a lot fun with this assignment. We then went outside and found a cool graffiti alley way where we finished off the day. Thanks again to my class for a great week. I had a blast, and the enthusiasm they showed really brought a high energy to the class.  Thanks again Melissa for taking the time to come out and be my model for the day.  I had a great time photographing you and getting to know you in the short time we had.  Hopefully I get the chance to photograph you again.  There is always next year at NSI.

We are just finishing up the albums for our Sudbury Senior Grad Karryna and I thought I would post a few images here for everyone to see.   Highschool Senior Grads are something new to Sudbury, but they are not new to the photographic industry.  Senior portraits are very popular in the States and in some parts of Canada.  I have a lot of friends in Saskatchewan, Alberta, BC, and the East Coast that are doing more and more Senior grad portraits every year.    A Senior Grad portrait is not your typical “Cap & Gown” portrait, but something much more meaningful to the Grad.  We like to incorporate the environment and something personal that the senior was involved with during his or her time at highschool.  For Karryna it was her music and instruments as you can see with the images below.
