Thank you for all your Sudbury Support!

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

We also appreciate your emails and phone calls with your feedback on your photography session and finished products.  Photographing everyday we tend to get into “robot” mode and these phone calls and emails really snap us back into “creative” mode and put smiles on our faces.  Thank you SO MUCH!

“Hi Jocelyne and James,

Dad definitely loved his father’s day gift this year.  Not only was it a gift for him, it was for me as well. To have those two perfect faces captured in a moment in time, so beautifully.  Well I just can’t thank you enough. You have an amazing gift, thank you for sharing it. Some of the comments I’ve received on the photo’s have been “wow”, “stunning”, “absolutely gorgeous” which I of course think sums them up perfectly!  The photo of Emma alone takes my breath away, you captured something I can’t quite explain. It’s like I’m seeing a picture of her 10 years from now. The photo of Emma and Gracie together with Gracie laughing, has pure joy jumping right out of the frame.

Thank you again, and I look forward to seeing what you capture for our family portraits.

Have a fantastic day.”

Portraits In The Park

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

Here are a few natural light B&W images we captured during our Event last month.  A shootthru and white reflector were used to isolate shadows and and spotted sun. We really wanted to “highlight” the kids eyes.

Fathers Day Favorites was a HIT!

Monday, June 21st, 2010

Well the feedback so far is unanimous.  Those that took part in our Fathers Day Event “Fathers Favorites” are telling us that Dad’s LOVED their fathers day presents, and why wouldn’t they?  We must tell you that it was a lot of fun photographing your kids again, it’s amazing how big some of the have gotten.  We are THRILLED that the dads enjoyed their images.  We also had to laugh at some of the excuses you had to tell dad to get your kids away without being overly noticeable hahaha, covert ops and Hodgins photography LOL

I thought I would show off your kids to everyone else since they are all beautiful and handsome.  Thanks again everyone.

Mom told dad that she was helping in  the kids classroom that day, so if he needed her to call the school. Of course the teacher would tell him that she was busy and would call him back later.  Nice!

Dad saw the charge on the Credit Card, but mom quickly said that we were having a great deal on family portraits and she couldn’t pass it up.  Hmmmm maybe we will.

She’s got style, she’s got grace, she’s got HAIR!

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

Today we had the pleasure of photographing little Shelby here.  Shelby is the daughter of Jen & Andre Gervais.  We photographed their wedding a few years back, and I have known Jen for years before that as she is good friends of the family.  What a pleasure it is to photograph all our family and friends children and events in their lives (sometimes it makes me feel old though hahaha).  This little bundle of joy was full of wide eyed smiles and coos, and yes that is her hair, all of it.     Thanks Jen and Andre for coming into our studio today and allowing us to photograph Shelby and we look forward to hanging out with you again.  Oh wait.  That’s this Saturday.   UFC NIGHT WOOHOOO!

Piper Pickle Picked A Photo

Friday, February 26th, 2010

My Niece Piper came into the studio today while Mom, Dad & Brother were out to play.  Like typical Piper style she gave me a whopping whole 10 minutes to photograph her before she had enough.  Luckily with this one, you just can’t go wrong and yes I am being biased.  The yellow hat and sweater were knitted by Piper’s Great Grandma so of course I had to photograph her in that.  Then it was out with the Piper Pickle Purple background (I think that is what I am going to call it now) which I was aloud to photograph her for a whole 6.23 minutes.  Oh my little sweetheart, Uncle Jamie is going to wear you down over the next few years. :)

We shoot so many, sometimes we forget.

Monday, January 25th, 2010

So I am here with my friends sitting beside Jillian and on her desktop is the below image.  I was like, “that is really nice, who took that?”  (and I was serious).   She looked at me like I was a total idiot (and sometimes I am).  I guess I photographed this last June and I completely forgot (see, she thinks we are good friends, but  really we are not), just joking Jillian.  Anyways, I thought I would hop on her computer and post this image of her 3 (soon to be 4) children.

Received this comment this morning in regards to my last blog post.

“You are amazing…thanks so much for capturing a moment that will last forever. Princess Chloe is angry and crying under the table because there is no picture of her…I told her that soon we will go back and she will be able to see all her pictures too. She said the green sucker was great!”

Well, there is one thing that I can’t stand and that is a crying princess.  So just for you my little princess….voila!

Daddy’s Little Girl

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

We just finished photographing the beautiful Lipscomb family in our studio.  The way Evie was looking at the camera I just couldn’t pass up grabbing some extra images of this little beauty.  She was soooooo responsive to my camera (maybe it was my funny looking face).   It’s great to reconnect with old high school friends, and it’s even more of an honor that you chose us to document your family. Thanks again Rebecca, Phil, Chloe and Evie for choosing us to document this family event.

Snow. I live in the wrong part of the world.

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

Some of you love the winter season, others  (like me) not so much.  Over the years I have ended up dreading the winter months, especially after I owned my first house and I had to start shoveling my own driveway. :)   I do enjoy the holidays though, spending time with family and friends, relaxing…..EATING TURKEY!.    Looking outside today with the big fluffy snowflakes falling and the few inches of snow on the ground I realized.  Crap, winter is here.  Break out your winter coats, grab your warm gloves and scarves and try to enjoy winter the best you can.

On a good note, I did come up with a great new image for my blah blah blah gallery. :)   The Snowman (coming soon)

Our Gift Certificate Special is on for 13 more days.

Father & Son

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

Being a Sudbury Photography Studio in the North we bring in clients from all over the Province.  As with the previous post of Mother and Son, we absolutely have to capture Father and Son as well.  Again keeping it simple using negative space to draw your eyes into our subjects.  This is an important time in a families life and we feel very honored that people chose us to document this moment.
