Copco In Kirkland Lake
Just finished day 1 of shooting drill bits, drillers, and drill rigs for Atlas Copco in Kirkland lake. I’m beat, dirty, and sun burnt, but it’s beats sitting in an office all day staring out the window. Sometimes I take for granted the profession I am in. I get to travel, spend most my time outdoors, meet thousands of people every year and the whole time I get paid to do it.
The only other job that I would like is to become a Professional Fisherman (I’m still crossing my fingers with that one). Anyways, here are few images. How do you make drill bits look good?

Tomorrow I look forward to creating more In The Hole Images.

You are the master of the drill bit and off camera lighting. What color hard hat do you wear when working?

Stick to photography!!! Those six inch bass I saw you haul in the boat won’t put bread on the table.
Nice pics.

James, forget all about fishing! You are the master of shooting exploration shots. We’ll have to think of more challenging assignments to stimulate your creativity!

I could always re-do the bit in hand in front of the pyramid (of course, I would have to go to Egypt for that.

Why not make a series of shots…Pyramides, Macho Pichu, Great wall of China, Sydney opera house… Can you go on your bike to save costs?

My wife says that she will not wait more than ten years for me to finish that job, and that she will have to take out “high risk” life insurance on me (she’s fine with that though. )
